Woman Robbed, Sexually Assaulted In West Town

CHICAGO — A woman was robbed and sexually assaulted outside her home in the West Town neighborhood Tuesday, police said. The attack happened around 11:22 p.m. in the 2000 block of West Ferdinand Street, according to police.

The woman told police she saw the suspect riding a bike in circles on the street. After she locked the front gate of her property, she went inside her home, police said.

The woman then went back outside and saw the man in her front yard, police said. The man took out a handgun, demanded cash and sexually assaulted the woman, according to police.

The suspect is described as a young black man between 17 and 25 years old, clean shaven with a dark complexion, with short hair in twists or braids, police said. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a dark gray hoodie with a dark backpack.
