Ipsento Exec Joins Robust Chamber Board
The Wicker Park-Bucktown Chamber's board of directors voted in a new president, vice president, treasurer and secretary at its Jan. 7 meeting.

A new face has officially joined the Wicker Park-Bucktown Chamber of Commerce's directoral crew.
The organization signed off on its new Board of Directors this past week during a Jan. 7 meeting, representatives said. Among representatives is Jeremiah Taylor, Chief Information Officer at Ipsento, who was elected as the new vice president.
Former VP Stephanie Sack is now president; Ginna Ryan was elected secretary and Tre Peckat was elected treasurer. Taylor, Ryan and Peckat were approved in a unanimous up-or-down vote by the chamber's board of directors.

"They're all great," Chamber Executive Director Adam Burck said of the new officers. "I'm thrilled to be working with them this year. It's a mixed team, and it's nice that it's people who have some experience on the board."
Taylor's opportunity to serve as an officer came after a number of simultaneous vacancies, he said.

Former Treasurer Al Spenadel had reached his term limit, former Secretary Paige Ormond was moving out of the state, and former President Phillip Laurin had stepped down from his office to focus on his work as an attorney. While he is no longer an officer, Laurin will remain a member of the board.
Taylor, who joined the board in late 2011, said he was excited to have been elected to his new position, where he will serve a two-year term.
"I feel like a lot of the investments I have made in education and the hard work that I have invested at Ipsento and the Wicker Park/Bucktown community is paying off," Taylor said. "I'm really excited to be part of Chicago business and Chicago politics."
His goals for his tenure as vice president include working to bring neighborhood organizations together, promoting transparency and furthering the interests of the community, he added. He said he's merely continuing the work of his predecessors, who shaped the Wicker Park and Bucktown areas into what they are today.
"I'm really excited to have a business in Wicker Park/Bucktown," he said. "It is a great place to live, a great place to work, and I do believe without my involvement, that the neighborhood (would) be moving forward, and is already progressing. I simply want to stand on the shoulders of those who began that process and continue the work."
