3 Examples of How to Grow Your Business Using Yard Signs

A look at three types of businesses that can benefit from using yard signs.

Yard signs are one of the best ways to spread the word about your business. Why? Because they’re portable, light weight, cost friendly, quick to produce and easy to reuse. Also, they’re typically placed on, or by, a direct example of your company’s services (e.g., a landscaped lawn or remodeled home). Here are a few quick examples:

Real Estate

Yard signs work two-fold for real estate businesses. For one, they offer contact information for any individuals or businesses looking to purchase homes, land or office space. Two, they give home owners, land owners and businesses direct contact information for selling their homes, land or office space. Most yard signage includes the name of the real estate company, a phone number and website so that it’s easy for individuals looking to buy or sell to contact them. The more yard signs you have, the more business you have and the more likely you are to grow.

Landscapers

Landscaping companies reap great rewards for utilizing yard signage. If you see a landscapers sign in someone’s yard, that’s a great indicator that their services were more than satisfactory. In which case, not only are you given a visual review of the company and its services, but you’re also able to see the work they’ve done. Similar to real estate yard signage, the signs will have the name, contact information and website included. Spring is a great time to use yard signs, as that’s when many people are choosing landscaping companies to help them with their yard maintenance throughout the warmer months.

Construction or Remodelers

Like landscaping companies, if you see yard signs for construction companies on finished projects, it’s a good indicator that their services were exceptional. However, for a lot of in progress construction or remodeling, companies should utilize yard signs to spread the word. Have them placed closer to the road so that people are able to see what company is working on the build. It also gives passersby and potential clients the ability to watch how the company works from beginning to end. The signs are also great for construction companies as they can be reused for multiple projects saving your business thousands on advertising per year.

Yard signs aren’t just for yard sales. They’re one of the best methods for quick and wide spread advertising, and can save your company quite a bit any given year. They’re completely customizable, extremely portable and can be placed anywhere. You don’t need a billboard to grow your business, and like many things, a little bit goes a long way.
