BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Buffalo Grove Rotary and the Buffalo Grove Community Foundation have announced 20 local area nonprofits and organizations as recipients of this year’s joint community grants.
The two groups said nearly $30,000 in grants will be provided through the annual Community Grant Program, which supports quality-of-life initiatives in Buffalo Grove.
According to the announcement, Rotary and the foundation have partnered on the annual grant program since 2024. The funding is intended to support organizations serving Buffalo Grove and nearby communities through education, health, social services, emergency response and other community-based programs.
The recipients are the folllowing:
“As Rotarians, we abide by the motto of ‘service above self’ and are people of action,” Buffalo Grove Rotary President Juliet Ziak said. “To that end, we are proud to continue our ongoing partnership with the Buffalo Grove Community Foundation to support the organizations that are doing good work to make positive, lasting change in Buffalo Grove and beyond.”
BGCF Executive Director Mike Skibbe said the village is served by a wide range of nonprofits and service groups.
“Buffalo Grove is lucky to be served by so many dedicated nonprofits and service organizations committed to creating a lasting impact on the quality of life in our community,” Skibbe said. “We are pleased to support their ongoing work through this joint community grant program.”
According to the announcement, funding for the joint grant program comes from donated proceeds from Buffalo Grove Days and the Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove’s annual Duck Race, which is held on the Saturday evening of Buffalo Grove Days.
