BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department, except when noted, and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.
Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.
A person reported a robbery at 8:47 p.m. May 18 in the parking lot at 770 S. Buffalo Grove Road. Police said the person was selling a piece of jewelry on Facebook Marketplace and agreed to meet in the parking lot. The offender grabbed the jewelry from the victim’s hand, and the suspect vehicle left the scene southbound. The investigation is ongoing.
RETAIL THEFT
A male stole a bottle of power steering fluid from a business at 201 N. Milwaukee Ave. at 7:15 p.m. April 29, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
A male stole $4 worth of candy from a business at 1225 W. Dundee Road at 10:12 a.m. April 30, according to police.
A male stole $200 worth of liquor from a business at 15 N. Buffalo Grove Road at 8:42 a.m. May 10, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
Two subjects stole merchandise from a business at 1550 E. Deerfield Parkway at 11:34 a.m. May 22, police said. The estimated loss was $215.42.
THEFT
A person reported a lawnmower theft at 10:15 a.m. May 8, in the 300 block of Dundee Parkway. Police said the victim was mowing the grass and stopped to bring in recycling bins. When the person returned, the lawnmower was gone.
A package containing a $792 product was stolen from a building’s mail room in the 700 block of Weidner Road at 3:19 p.m. May 11, police said.
A license plate registration sticker was stolen in the 300 block of Le Parc Circle at 9:52 a.m. May 21, according to police.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A male was yelling and screaming out of an upper window in the 1300 block of Rose Boulevard at 12:35 p.m. May 1 and 7:18 p.m. May 3, disturbing the peace, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
A male was urinating in a public park in the 1300 block of Highland Grove Drive at 6:15 p.m. May 9, police said. He was issued an adjudication citation for disorderly conduct.
ARRESTS
DOMESTIC BATTERY
Joaquin Molina De La Cruz, 18, of the 10 block of Crestview Lane, was arrested April 29 and charged with two counts of domestic battery and aggravated battery to a peace officer. He was assigned an April 30 court date in Rolling Meadows.
DUI
Vikram Vyawahare, 45, of Buffalo Grove, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. May 1, near Buffalo Grove and McHenry roads and charged with DUI, speeding, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was assigned a May 18 court date in Waukegan.
Victor De Jesus Pale Lopez, 32, of Arlington Heights, was arrested at 12:53 a.m. May 23, in the 900 block of West Dundee Road and charged with DUI, driving on a suspended license and improper lane usage. He was assigned a June 17 court date in Waukegan.
Kelly A. Frank, 66, of Buffalo Grove, was arrested at 9:55 p.m. May 23, near Olive Hill Drive and Breezy Court and charged with DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper turn. She was assigned a June 10 court date in Waukegan.
RECKLESS DRIVING
Smaran Tadepalli, 19, of Buffalo Grove, was arrested at 5:24 p.m. May 16, in the 1200 block of North Green Knolls Drive and charged with reckless driving, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and damage to property. He was assigned a June 12 court date in Mundelein.
DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED OR REVOKED LICENSE
Kelley N. Watts, 29, of Memphis, Tennessee, was arrested at 12:23 a.m. May 2, near Weidner and Dundee roads and charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license and driving without headlights when required. She was assigned a May 22 court date in Rolling Meadows.
Omar Cruz Rafael, 31, of Palatine, was arrested at 7:38 p.m. May 4, at 55 W. Lake Cook Road and charged with driving on a suspended license and expired registration. He was assigned a May 22 court date in Rolling Meadows.
Anthony R. Kurtz, 51, of Buffalo Grove, was arrested at 10:13 p.m. May 8, near Buffalo Grove Road and Fox Hill Drive and charged with driving on a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended and driving with expired plates. He was assigned a June 15 court date in Mundelein.
Jorge Ibarra, 29, of Zion, was arrested at 3:35 p.m. May 15, in the 1600 block of North Buffalo Grove Road and charged with driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper windshield tinting. He was assigned a June 12 court date in Mundelein.
Tyler J. Reimann, 31, of Wheeling, was arrested at 4:27 p.m. May 20, in the 1200 block of Johnson Drive and charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license, operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was assigned a June 12 court date in Mundelein.
Adam J. Nixon, 44, of Mount Prospect, was arrested at 9:39 a.m. May 25, near Golfview Terrace and Dundee Road and charged with driving on a revoked driver’s license, disobeying a traffic control signal and driving with expired plates. He was assigned a June 26 court date in Rolling Meadows.
NO VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
Reberiano Campos-Vicente, 57, of Arlington Heights, was arrested at 12:44 p.m. May 6, near Ridge Avenue and Dundee Road and charged with no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended. He was assigned a June 15 court date in Mundelein.
Alma Iris Lopez Mondragon, 37, of Wadsworth, was arrested at 4:50 p.m. May 25, near Prairie and Aptakisic roads and charged with no valid driver’s license and operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended. She was assigned a June 15 court date in Mundelein.
