BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Romance, mystery and adventure are coming to the Buffalo Grove stage as Big Deal Productions presents “Anastasia” for six performances this month.
Inspired by the animated film and Broadway musical, “Anastasia” follows a courageous young woman as she searches for the truth about her past. The story moves from post-imperial Russia to 1920s Paris and features music, choreography, costumes and a story centered on hope, identity and family.

“Anastasia” is directed by Debra Goldman, with music direction by Dede Ginsberg and choreography by Cathy Jacobson.
The cast is led by McKenna Batterson as Anya/Anastasia, Chuck Quinn IV as Dmitry, Mark Vences as Gleb and Aaron G. Stash as Vlad Popov.
“Anya is a character I have treasured since I was a little girl, so getting to tell her story on stage, alongside such talented cast mates, while also singing a hauntingly beautiful score, feels like a dream come true every time I step into the rehearsal room,” Batterson said.
