Andrew Maloney, of Buffalo Grove, participated in the University of Alabama's Cooperative Education Program during the summer 2026 semester.

Maloney worked for Nucor Decatur as part of the program, which allows students to alternate periods of full-time study with full-time employment related to their academic major or career interests.

Students in the program work alongside professionals in their fields while maintaining full-time student status and receiving priority registration each semester through graduation.
