• 7 masked, gloved suspects armed with sledgehammers commit armed robbery at fuel center in Buffalo Grove (lakemchenryscanner.com) — Buffalo Grove police are investigating a pre-dawn armed robbery at the Ricky Rockets Fuel Center on East Lake Cook Road, where seven masked suspects smashed video gaming machines with sledgehammers and stole cash. No employees were hurt, but investigators believe this crew is tied to a wider string of gaming-machine burglaries across the Chicagoland area and are working with other agencies to track them down.
