Armed Robbery Reported At Buffalo Grove Hotel: Police

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — An Extended Stay America hotel location was robbed last Saturday by a man who displayed a handgun at the front desk. Police are continuing to investigate the incident as the suspect has not been located.

Police responded to the location at 1525 Busch Parkway at 3:17 a.m. Dec. 21, for an armed robbery report. Witnesses tell police the male — described as white or Hispanic with an Eastern European accent, wearing a red jacket, grey pants and light-colored shoes — jumped over the counter and demanded U.S. currency while displaying a handgun. He fled eastbound across Milwaukee venue on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No injuries were reported.
