ATM, Liquor Stolen From Store: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

A cash box was also missing following the Wednesday incident at a liquor store in the 1100 block of McHenry Road.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

Marisol Moso, 25, of the 9300 block of Harlem Avenue, Morton Grove, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, improper lane usage, and was arrested at 6:10 a.m. July 13, at W. Lake Cook and S. Buffalo Grove roads. She was released and assigned a court date of July 31.

RETAIL THEFT

Darwin S. Caballero Castillo, 24, of the 300 block of Surrey Road, Wheeling, is accused of three counts of retail theft, and was arrested at 12:35 p.m. July 14, in the 1500 block of E. Deerfield Parkway. He was trespassed from Woodman's Grocery, where the theft had occurred. Castillo was released and assigned a court date of July 19.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

  • A resident in the 10 block of Strathmore Court reported at 2:01 p.m. July 11, a package addressed to him had been delivered to his front door, but was no longer there when he went to retrieve it.
  • A resident in the 0-10 block of Villa Verde Drive, called police at 8:55 p.m. July 11, to report a male, who was wearing a white shirt, black pants, white sunglasses and light gray backpack, had entered his open garage and stole items.

MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

Police met with a complainant at 8:30 a.m. July 14, who said their car had been stolen from a parking lot in the 0-10 block of Villa Verde Drive at some point since 1 p.m. the prior day. Police found a small amount of broken glass on the ground on the driver's side of where the car had been parked.

BURGLARY

Police responded to Dev Liquors, 1170 McHenry Road, at 2:30 a.m. July 17, for a burglary alarm. Police found the front glass door shattered and heard an audible alarm from inside the business. They also found broken glass along the floor, along with multiple liquor bottles on the floor. Broken liquor bottles and liquid were also found in the east aisle. An ATM located on the south end of the front check out counter was missing, as was money from a cash box.
