BG Singers Collect Donations, Pack Backpacks For Local Students

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — School is right around the corner, and many local students will be heading off to school with backpacks filled with supplies thanks to the BG Singers. The Buffalo Grove Park District's adult chorus announced it has collected donations, which in turn have enable them to pack over 300 backpacks with essential school supplies for children in Palatine Township, School District 102, and the Refugee Community Connection.

The BG Singers, led by group member Lynn Garb, organized the internal fundraising campaign as part of their drive and "commitment to philanthropy and the belief that every child deserves the tools they need to succeed in school." The donations were used to buy things like notebooks, pencils, crayons, and glue sticks.
