Wheeling Presents Production of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream
Wheeling High School will present Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
Wheeling High School will present Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 8-10, at 7:30 p.m. in the school's Robert E. Sang Theater. The play, one of the "Bard's" best known, is the tale of two sets of lovers on a journey of unrequited love, misdirected infatuation, and sincere adoration. Meanwhile Oberon, the king of the fairies, has his own plans to get a young boy from his wife, Titania, to be used as his knight. Through all of this, Oberon's servant, the ever-mischievous Puck, sets actions into motion that has the lovers confused, in love, and bewildered! While set in Athens, Greece, this production's costume and make-up imply that this story could take place any time or any place.
Orin Xavier is the director with Derek Ellertson as technical director; Robert Kupon as costume and make-up manager, and Ann Wyatt as house manager.
