Buffalo Grove Days Returns Sept. 2-6

A modified version of the annual event will feature a carnival and musical entertainment.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — After last year's edition was canceled due to the pandemic, Buffalo Grove Days will return next week with a modified schedule. The event will be presented by the Village of Buffalo Grove and the Buffalo Grove Park District.

Buffalo Grove Days is held at Mike Rylko Community Park, 951 McHenry Road. The park is located on the east side of McHenry/Route 83, between Buffalo Grove Road and Deerfield Parkway, next to the Spray ’n’ Play park.

A carnival will run from Thursday, Sept. 2, through Monday, Sept. 6. There will be musical entertainment Friday through Sunday with two bands playing each night, and a DJ playing before and after.

Other entertainment will include the Buffalo Grove Park District presents Big Deal Productions "Year in Review," from 2-2:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, on the main stage.

Local food trucks will be serving food, though there will be no food tent, to encourage social distancing at the family event. The Park District will be selling soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.
