Buffalo Grove To Host First Community Services And Wellness Fair
The free Aug. 23 event will connect residents with health, senior, youth and other community resources.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The Buffalo Grove Community Foundation will host its first Community Services and Wellness Fair later this month, bringing local organizations, health providers and community resources together at Mike Rylko Community Park.
The free event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, next to the Buffalo Grove Farmers Market.
Organizers said the fair is intended for families, seniors, veterans, youth, caregivers, new residents and others looking for information about local programs and services.

Health Screenings, Activities And Resource Tables
Participants will include local government agencies, schools, service clubs, health and senior service providers, disability advocacy groups and volunteer organizations.
The fair will feature resource tables, health screenings, children’s activities, safety demonstrations, games and giveaways.

The Buffalo Grove Fire Department’s MobileComm vehicle will also be on site.
Blood Drive Planned
Vitalant will host a blood drive during the fair.
Appointments may be made by calling 877-258-4825 or through Vitalant’s donor website using code ORD0BG98. Walk-ins will also be accepted.
The event is free and open to residents and other community members.
Sponsors include the Village of Buffalo Grove, Buffalo Grove Park District, Buffalo Grove Community Foundation, Vitalant, GiGi’s Playhouse, Partners in Aging and Pinta Pride Project.
