Buffalo Grove Man Killed In Wisconsin Motorcycle Crash: Police

The 54-year-old resident crashed into a ditch line on a wet highway, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.

KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — A 54-year-old Buffalo Grove resident was killed Saturday when his motorcycle left a wet roadway and crashed into a ditch line in Brighton, Wisconsin, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department.

Police identified Scott E. Wicks as the deceased on Monday. A female passenger of the motorcycle was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police and emergency officials responded to 700 block of 312th Avenue at 3:37 p.m. for a report of a serious vehicle crash. The man, who was driving his 2013 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, was traveling southbound on 312th Avenue and failed to negotiate a curve as he approached 7th Street. According to deputies on the scene, the motorcycle left the roadway and crashed into the ditch line on the west side of 312th Avenue. Police said the roadway was still wet from recent rain in the area.

The motorcycle driver sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kenosha County Medical Examiner's Office.

Due to the crash resulting in a fatality, the Kenosha County Major Crash Assistance Team responded to the scene to assist in the accident investigation.
