Buffalo Grove Police Cite 31 During St. Paddy's Day Enforcement Effort
The annual enforcement campaign is funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Police departments across the state, including Buffalo Grove, ramped up enforcement during the recent St. Patrick's Day holiday. The campaign took place between March 10 and March 19.
According to police, 31 citations were written up by officers, including 13 seat belt citations. Additionally, one arrest was made for a person driving with their license revoked for a driving under the influence charge.
“We strongly enforce traffic laws for one reason–to save lives,” Sergeant Tony Turano said.

The enforcement was part of the St. Patrick's Day "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" and "Drive High, Get a DUI" campaigns.
