Buffalo Grove Police Department Offers Junior Police Academy

The academy is for young people ages 12-15, who live in or go to school in Buffalo Grove. It will be held June 12-16 from 10am until noon.

The Buffalo Grove Police Department is offering an opportunity for area youth to learn more about what it takes to be a police officer. Buffalo Grove Police Officers will share information about traffic stops, evidence collection, criminal investigations and police tactics - in addition to providing a K-9 demonstration. Participants will also be given a tour of the Buffalo Grove Police Department, where they will observe officers at work, and learn about all of the equipment police officers use.

Young people ages 12-15 who either live in, or attend a school in Buffalo Grove are invited to apply.

The Junior Police Academy will be held from June 12 - June 16 from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the Buffalo Grove Police Department, 46 Raupp Boulevard in Buffalo Grove.
