The department will be collecting personal hygiene items and household cleaners throughout March.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The Buffalo Grove Police Department is hosting a collection drive throughout the month of March. This initiative aims to gather essential personal hygiene items and household cleaners. These collected items will support neighbors at the Wheeling and Vernon Township Food Pantries.
According to the Village of Buffalo Grove, donations can include personal hygiene items such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, and deodorant. Household items like toilet paper, paper towels, detergents, and cleaners are also requested. All donated items must be new and unopened to ensure they meet the needs of the food pantries.
Residents can drop off contributions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The collection box is located in the police department lobby at 46 Raupp Boulevard. A full list of requested items is available on the department's website.
