Buffalo Grove Police Increase Patrols For Super Bowl Weekend
Local officers will be out in full force over the weekend, watching out for impaired drivers and those not wearing their seat belts.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Buffalo Grove Police Department will be out conducting special patrols over the Super Bowl weekend. Officers will be keeping a close eye on the roadways on Feb. 1 and 2, watching out for those not wearing their seat belts or driving while impaired.
“We want the community to enjoy the game and festivities, but to do so responsibly. All it takes is a game plan. Before you go to the party, decide if you’re drinking or driving; never do both,” said Buffalo Grove Police Department Sgt. Michelle Kondrat. “We’d also like to remind everyone to wear their seat belts.”
The Buffalo Grove Police Department’s Super Bowl enforcement effort is made possible by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation, according to a news release.
