Buffalo Grove Ranked Among Best Places to Live in U.S.
Several Illinois counties also earned spots on the "best counties to raise a family."

BUFFALO GROVE, IL - Buffalo Grove has been ranked among the best places to live in the nation, according to neighborhood ranking site Niche.com. Buffalo Grove was among 15,783 places in the U.S. ranked based on factors including crime rate, quality of public schools, cost of living and job opportunities.
In addition to reviews from the public, Niche.com used data from the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention to compile the rankings. Buffalo Grove came in at No. 7 among the best places to live in America and as the best place to live in Illinois.
Just over 90 people reviewed Buffalo Grove, with 19 giving the suburb an "excellent" rating and 46 giving it a "very good" ranking. Buffalo Grove got an A+ overall rating, with another A+ for public schools and A+ for being good for families. The town got an A for housing, and an A- in crime and safety and diversity. Buffalo Grove's nightlife got a B+.

"I absolutely love this area. I spent my entire childhood here and believe that I grew up with a lot of knowledge on what it takes to live in the real world and I have had no horrible experiences that have impacted the way that I have grown up. I see this as a very prosperous area and definitely would like to come back here with a family and live my life here. I would love to see my kids go through the amazing education system that I had the privilege to go through myself," one Niche.com reviewer wrote.
Buffalo Grove is mostly in Lake County, which was also recognized by Niche as No. 61 on the "best counties to raise a family" list. Also on the "best counties" list:
