Buffalo Grove Schools Closed Tuesday Due To Cold Temperatures

As Chicagoland continues to deal with dangerous, frigid temperatures, many area schools are not reopening after MLK Jr. Day.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Following Martin Luther King Jr. Day Monday when schools were closed, local students will have another in-person day off Tuesday due to dangerous cold conditions. Many schools are instituting e-learning days in the Buffalo Grove area.

The National Weather Service predicts temperatures will rise Wednesday and schools will open for students. Below is a list of Buffalo Grove area schools closed Tuesday, according to EmergencyClosingCenter.com:

  • Buffalo Grove High School (Buffalo Grove) — closed Tuesday
  • St. Mary School (Buffalo Grove) — closed Tuesday
  • Adlai E. Stevenson High School District 125 (Lincolnshire) — closed Tuesday
  • Kildeer Countryside Community Consolidated School District 96 (Long Grove) — closed
  • District 21 (Wheeling) — closed
  • Wheeling High School (Wheeling) — closed
  • National Louis University (Wheeling) — e-learning
