Buffalo Grove Senator Seeks Nominations To Honor Veterans, Active-Duty Members
The fourth annual 30 Wonders of the 30th District program will recognize service members and those who support them.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — State Sen. Adriane Johnson (D-Buffalo Grove) is asking residents of the 30th District to nominate veterans, active-duty service members and organizations that support them for this year's 30 Wonders of the 30th District.
The annual recognition program is now in its fourth year. For 2026, Johnson's office is focusing on veterans, active-duty military members and the people, businesses and organizations that support them.
“Our veterans, active-duty service members and the organizations that stand alongside them make our community stronger every day through their courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to others,” Johnson said. “This is an opportunity to recognize these remarkable individuals and organizations.”

“In the last 30 Wonders events, we highlighted a single category, whether it was businesses, locations or people,” Johnson said. “This year, we’re branching out and expanding to cover so much more.”
She said the recognition will include individuals, family members, businesses, organizations and service animals that support veterans and active-duty military members.
Nominations Due Aug. 30
Nominations are open through Aug. 30.
The full list of categories and nomination form is available through Johnson's office. A separate Spanish-language nomination form is also available.
Winners are expected to be announced later this summer and honored at a community recognition event.
