Buffalo Grove Singers Raising Money For Ukulele Kids Club

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The BG Singers, the Buffalo Grove Park District’s 75-member community chorus, has performed together for 27 years, and has always been known as "the chorus that cares." Because of the pandemic, their annual concert was cancelled, but not their spirit of philanthropy. This year, they chose the Ukulele Kids Club as the recipient of their fundraising, and are planning to get the word out and make the community aware of this important organization, according to a press release from the Buffalo Grove Park District.

The Ukulele Kids Club was formed in 2014, and its mission is, “to harness the power of music to improve the well-being of children and families around the world. Through ukuleles and the support of music therapy, we give the gift of music for life.” This mission statement coincides with the BG Singers yearly undertaking to spread the joy of music to the community.
