Buffalo Grove Student-Athletes Earn UW-Whitewater Academic Honors

University of Wisconsin-Whitewater

WHITEWATER, WI — Two Buffalo Grove student-athletes earned spots on the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Scholastic Honor Roll for the 2025-26 academic year:

  • Jessica Velent, an accounting major and member of the women’s golf team.
  • Amanda Turofsky, an elementary-middle education major and member of the softball team.

They were among more than 400 UW-Whitewater student-athletes recognized.

Students must earn at least a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale to qualify for the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll.

UW-Whitewater also earned the WIAC All-Academic Award, given to institutions whose student-athletes collectively post a GPA equal to or higher than that of the overall student body. All eight WIAC schools earned the award for the fifth time.
