Buffalo Grove Voted Among Best Places To Live In Midwest

The village is ranked No. 8 in the list of Top 100 Places To Live In The Midwest For 2020.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Though it might not come as a surprise to people that live here, Buffalo Grove ranked high in a recent list of desirable abodes. According to the website Stacker, the village is No. 8 on the list of Top 100 Best Places to Live in the Midwest for 2020.

Using data provided by Niche.com, Stacker looked at data like school rankings, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics and access to amenities, among others, to make the determination.

"The village of Buffalo Grove sits northwest of Chicago, and was placed on Money’s 2009 list of best places to live in America," Stacker said in its analysis of Buffalo Grove. "It’s known for two major annual festivals — the July Buffalo Grove Invitational Fine Arts Festival, and the September Buffalo Grove Days Festival."

Carmel, Indiana came in at No. 1 on the list. Other Illinois municipalities that ranked high include: Clarendon Hills (No. 3), Long Grove (No. 12), Naperville (No. 19) and Evanston (No. 23).
