Buffalo Grove Woman Killed In Wheeling Car Crash: Fire Department

WHEELING, IL — A 25-year-old Buffalo Grove woman was killed Wednesday night following a two-car accident at Lake Cook Road and Northgate Parkway. According to the Wheeling Fire Department, people in both cars were entrapped when emergency personnel arrived on the scene and needed to be extricated from their vehicles.

Officials said the woman died from her injuries at the hospital. As of Thursday, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office has not released the identity or cause of death of the woman.

Wheeling firefighters arrived at the scene at around 10:28 p.m., five minutes after being dispatched, and found two vehicles with heavy damage. After being extricated from their cars, the two injured people were taken to the hospital.

The Glenview and Lincolnshire-Riverwoods fire departments provided station coverage, according to the Wheeling Fire Department.
