Bullet, Stab-Protective Vest Donated For Buffalo Grove Police K9
Mac, a 2-year-old Sable German shepherd, joined the Buffalo Grove Police Department last June.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — When Mac is out in the field for the Buffalo Grove Police Department, he will be a safer K9 thanks to a donation. Vested Interest In K9s, Inc. recently donated a bullet and stab-protective vest to Mac, who joined the BGPD last June.
The Sable German shepherd is handled by Officer Shannon McMillon, who has served with BGPD since 2014.
According to the Village, Mac supports officers in the field by performing narcotics detection, tracking and locating criminal suspects and missing persons and conducting searches in different environments.
