Business Burglary, Stolen Checks: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — A business burglary, a forgery arrest involving stolen checks and a DUI are among the latest arrests and incidents reported by the Buffalo Grove Police Department.

The following information comes from Buffalo Grove Police Department reports. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Burglary

1215 McHenry Road: Unknown subjects forced entry into a business and stole merchandise at 8 p.m. Sept. 5, police said.

Criminal Damage To Property

951 McHenry Road: Unknown subject or subjects disconnected propane tanks and a generator used to refrigerate food at 11:06 a.m. Sept. 6, causing the food to spoil. Police estimated the loss at about $280.

Theft Of Mislaid Property

951 McHenry Road: A motorized bicycle valued at $509 was reported stolen at 10:32 p.m. Sept. 6.

Forgery

Larry D. Williams, 34, of Chicago, was arrested at 3:56 p.m. Sept. 3, at 555 W. Dundee Road and charged with forgery and unlawful possession of stolen checks. He was scheduled for a Sept. 10 court date in Rolling Meadows.

DUI

Arturo Rojas Jr., of Wheeling, was arrested at 11:08 p.m. Sept. 4, near Milwaukee Avenue and Deerfield Parkway and charged with DUI, possession of an open alcohol container by a driver, driving too fast for conditions and improper lane usage. He was scheduled for a Sept. 30 court date in Waukegan.

Suspended License

Leena Maria Moreno, 36, of Elgin, was arrested at 6:16 p.m. Sept. 8, at 50 W. Lake Cook Road and charged with driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration. She was scheduled for an Oct. 16 court date in Mundelein.
