'Charlotte's Web' Set To Open At Buffalo Grove High School

A free, sensory-friendly performance is scheduled for Sunday.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Named the best American children's book of the past 200 years by the Children's Literature Association, "Charlotte's Web" is set to begin three days of shows at Buffalo Grove High School's Bison Grove Theatre Company.

The E.B. White classic will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday, 6 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. There will also be a free, sensory-friendly performance at 11 a.m. Sunday.

According to District 214, the production is co-directed by BGHS Theater Arts Program Directors Beth Wells and Lauren Stenzel, assisted by student director Kayla Young. The BGHS costume crew is led by Costume Director Debbie Andres with student Costume Chief, Riley Wendricks. Technical Director is Ed Conkle and the Assistant Technical Director is Philip Tschammer. Sam Haas, student technical director, leads the BGHS student crew.

Tickets for all other performances are $10, $5 for children ages 10 and under, as well as senior citizens. Online tickets for any of the shows include a service charge and may be purchased at GoFan.Co. The box office opens 60 minutes before curtain time.
