Carthage College Students Venture Across Globe For J-Term Study Tour

During Carthage College's 2026 J-Term, Joshua Maraldo, from Buffalo Grove, traveled as part of the course Memory, Monuments, and Museums: Material Culture and the Creation of the German Past.
J-Term, or January Term, is a special month-long period of study in which Carthage students explore subjects outside their majors or minors, discover new interests, and test their creativity through classes held around the world. More than 275 Carthage students participated in one of 14 study tours offered in January.

Alexander Toma, from Buffalo Grove, was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering's Honors List for the 2025 Fall Semester. Toma is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering.

Milwaukee School of Engineering congratulates students named to the Fall Semester 2025 Dean's List. Students from Buffalo Grove named to the list include:

• Loriyan Georgiev was named to the Dean's List. Georgiev is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Ari Nastaskin was named to the Dean's List. Nastaskin is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering.
• Alexander Mihaylov was named to the Dean's List. Mihaylov is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Maxim Voitov was named to the Dean's List with High Honors. Voitov is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
