College Credits: Buffalo Grove Student Plays In Nebraska Marching Band
Area students from Buffalo Grove are doing amazing things at colleges and universities across the United States.

Mason Part Of Cornhusker Marching Band Member
Clarissa Mason, of Buffalo Grove, is part of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's 300-member Cornhusker Marching Band, which will make its 2022 debut Sept. 3 at Memorial Stadium with pregame and halftime performances at Nebraska's football home opener against North Dakota.
Mason, a senior biochemistry, microbiology and chemistry major, plays clarinet. This year's band includes representatives from nearly every region of the country; though, 74% of the students are from Nebraska. Twenty-one percent of the students have majors in the Glenn Korff School of Music. The rest are studying in about 70 other degree programs across campus. Each band member passed two auditions to gain admittance to the group.

Local Residents Make Purdue University Dean's List
A number of Buffalo Grove residents were named to various honors lists at Purdue University for the spring 2022 semester. The local students are:
- Christian Sanford, dean's list and semester honors, College of Agriculture
- Nicholas Castaneda, dean's list and semester honors, College of Science
- Cassandra Deckowitz, dean's list, College of Science
- Mitchell Fister, dean's list and semester honors, College of Science
- Seongjae Lim, dean's list, Polytechnic Institute
- Madelyn Zussman, dean's list and semester honors, Polytechnic Institute
