UW-Whitewater Announces 2023 Winter Graduates

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater announced its 2023 winter graduating class. The following Buffalo Grove students earned degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at winter commencement, held Dec. 16, 2023:

• Colette Cooper graduated with the following degree: English - BA
• Jasmin Ealom graduated with the following degree: Biology - BS

Approximately 620 students crossed the stage to receive their degrees at the ceremony, held at Kachel Fieldhouse in the Williams Center.

Elmhurst University's Fall 2023 Dean's List Announced

Over 950 Elmhurst University students were named to the Fall 2023 Dean's List. The Dean's List is composed of students who during the term concerned, attained a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher (out of a possible 4.00). Local Buffalo Grove students named to the list include:

• Maria Lishanski
• Angelina Pontano
• Christopher Sakas

Feldstein Part of UA Cheer, Dance Teams That Placed At Nationals

The University of Alabama All-Girl and Coed cheerleading teams each placed second at the UCA National Competition held at Walt Disney World in Orlando January 14. The Dance Team earned a spot in the D1 Jazz finals that same weekend in Orlando and placed eighth and ninth in the Gameday Dance semifinals. The three-day competition took place at ESPN's Wide World of Sports with teams from across the country at all levels participating in the event. Teams were judged based on stunting, tumbling skills, crowd-leading abilities and overall performance. Maggie Feldstein, of Buffalo Grove, was part of the dance team.

Goldstein Named To Fall Deans' List At Nebraska

Daniel Jacob Goldstein, of Buffalo Grove, has been named to the Deans' List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the fall semester of the 2023-24 academic year. Goldstein, a senior majoring in electrical engineering, was named to the Dean's List for the College of Engineering.

Iannuzzi Named To University of Delaware Dean's List

Lindsay Iannuzzi, of Buffalo Grove, has been named to the University of Delaware Dean's List for the Fall 2023 semester. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.5 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.
