Abhishek Patel Earns Degree From UW-Whitewater

Abhishek Patel, from Buffalo Grove, earned a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at winter commencement on Dec. 19, 2021. Patel graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in general business. More than 846 graduates graduated in a virtual ceremony. The graduating class included 61 veterans, 6 international students and 128 nontraditional undergraduate students, defined as students who are 25 years of age or older.

Dance Marathon Overcomes "Rises," Raises $1.4 M for UI Stead Family Children's Hospital

More than 1,400 current University of Iowa students who participated in the 27th annual student-led Dance Marathon which raised more than $1.4 million for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital. The final tally raised by the students — who were inspired by the theme of this year's Dance Marathon: "Rise with Resilience" — was $1,422,443.27, a total which pushed the amount of support generated by Dance Marathon over the course of its history to more than $31 million. The students listed below participated in this year's Dance Marathon:
