Tri-State Tollway (I-94/I-294/I-80)

August 22 – Overnight Lane Closures

• Two eastbound lanes between U.S. Route 41 and the Waukegan Toll Plaza will close for pavement striping work.
• One westbound lane between Skokie Boulevard and Deerfield Road will close for pavement work.
• Various lanes in both directions between Wolf Road and I-294 will close for pavement work.
• One northbound lane between I-290 and Roosevelt Road will close for pavement work.
• All open road tolling lanes at 83rd Street Toll Plaza and the 82nd Street Toll Plaza will close for toll plaza maintenance.

August 23 – Daytime Lane Closures

One westbound lane between Duffy Lane and Half Day Road will close for roadway lighting work.

One northbound cash lane at the I-55 Toll Plaza will close for toll plaza maintenance.

Jane Addams Memorial Tollway (I-90)

August 22 –Overnight Lane Closures

Two eastbound lanes between Rock Cut State Park and East Riverside Drive and between Spring Creek Road and Rote Road will close for pavement striping.

Two westbound lanes between Golf Road and Illinois Route 53 will close for roadway signage work. In addition, 15-minute full roadway closures are scheduled.

Two eastbound lanes between Elmhurst Road and Higgins Creek will close for bridge work.

Various lanes in both directions between Mannheim Road and I-294 will close, for pavement work.

Two westbound lanes between I-190 and the Devon Toll Plaza will close for pavement work.

August 23 – Daytime Lane Closures

• One westbound lane between Bartlett Road and Illinois Route 25 will close for electrical work.
• Various lanes in both directions on Oakton Street will close for work on I-90.
• Various lanes in both directions on Mannheim Road between Higgins Road and Pratt Street will close for work on I-90.
• Various lanes in both directions on Higgins Road in Rosemont between Scott Street and Devon Avenue will close for work on I-90.
• One eastbound lane on Touhy Avenue will close for work on I-90.
• One northbound lane on Arlington Heights Road at I-90 will close for electrical work.
• One lane in both directions on Arbor Drive at I-90 will close for roadway drainage work.
• One lane in both directions on Illinois Route 31 between Airport Road and Davis Road will close for work on I-90.

Veterans Memorial Tollway (I-355)

August 22 – Overnight Lane Closures

• One lane in both directions between I-88 and Finley Road will close for bridge work.

Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88)

August 23 – Daytime Lane Closures

• One westbound lane between Meridian Road and Ashton Road will close for fence work.
• One westbound lane between Rickelson Creek and Brooklyn Road will close for fence work.
• One eastbound lane between Church Road and Farnsworth Avenue will close for bridge and roadway signage work.
• One westbound lane between Eola Road and Farnsworth Avenue will close for bridge work.
• A portion of the ramp from Illinois Route 56 to eastbound I-88 will close for shoulder work.
• One lane in both directions on Finley Road between I-88 and I-355 will close for bridge work.

Illinois Route 390 Tollway

August 22 – Overnight Lane Closures

• Three westbound lanes and two eastbound lanes on I-290 between Irving Park Road and Devon Avenue will close at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, for bridge work. In addition, 15-minute full roadway closures are scheduled
• The ramp carrying eastbound Illinois Route 390 to westbound I-290 will close for bridge work. A detour will be posted.
• One lane in both directions on Illinois Route 83 between Foster Avenue and Mark Street will close for a traffic shift.

August 23 – Daytime Lane Closures

• A portion of the ramp carrying westbound Illinois Route 390 to Meacham Road will close for shoulder work.
• One lane on the frontage roads in both directions at Meacham Road will close for shoulder work.
• One eastbound lane between Park Boulevard and Arlington Heights Road will close for pavement work.
• One eastbound lane on Park Boulevard between Pierce Road and Hamilton Lakes Drive will close for retaining wall work.
• One westbound lane between Prospect Avenue and Arlington Heights Road will close for pavement work.

Work Zone Safety

The Illinois Tollway is committed to ensuring that all Tollway work zones remain safe for both drivers and workers during construction, which is part of the agency’s overall commitment to roadway safety.

A work zone speed limit is in effect 24/7 in all construction zones, whether or not workers are present. Drivers should continue to watch for changing traffic patterns, milled surfaces, uneven pavement levels and traffic shifts at bridges and use caution at all times.

Illinois State Police have zero tolerance for drivers speeding in work zones. The minimum penalty for speeding in a work zone is $375. Posted signs advise drivers of a $10,000 fine and a 14-year jail sentence for hitting a roadway worker.
