Construction Trailer Catches Fire At The Clove Site In Buffalo Grove

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — An open top semi-truck dumpster caught fire at The Clove construction site Friday afternoon, with flames and smoke directly impinging on the 7-story multi-family residential building under construction.

The Buffalo Grove Fire Department said there were no injuries reported and the fire at 202 McHenry Road remains under investigation.

Crews deployed two fire attack lines, as well a ladder truck master stream, to quickly extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to the building. Officials said the other remaining BGFD firefighters worked to quickly evacuate the building.
