Curbside Christmas Tree Collections Begin Monday In Buffalo Grove

Through Jan. 13, residents can leave trees at the curb for free collection on their regular waste pickup day.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — If you're looking to get rid of your tree and recycle at the same time, the Village's Curbside Christmas tree collection is set to start on Monday. Residents can place two Christmas trees at the curb for free collection on their regular waste pickup day from Jan. 2 through Jan. 13.

The Village of Buffalo Grove is asking residents to follow these guidelines:

  • All decorations, stands, etc. must be removed.
  • Must be free of snow/ice for curbside disposal.
  • Do not place trees in plastic bags.
  • Must be placed on parkway (the area generally located between the street and sidewalk).
  • Must be under 6 feet in length (cut in two if longer)
