Dentist provides free cleanings to more than 300 students

Local dentist donated time and resources to provide more than 300 students with free dental cleanings.

Local dentist Frank Karkazis recently donated time and resources of himself and his staff to provide more than 300 free dental cleanings and exams to students across Community Consolidated School District 21.

The free cleanings were provided to students at Field, Frost, Kilmer, Twain, and Whitman Elementary Schools. Portable chairs, instruments, and supplies were brought to the schools and students were able to receive cleanings during the school day.

“We are very grateful for the generosity of Dr. Karkazis and his team,” said Dr. Kate Hyland, Superintendent of CCSD21. “We appreciate the contributions our community partners make to our students, families, and schools.”
