Drone Footage Shows Buffalo Creek Forest Preserve Updates
The Lake County Forest Preserves have been working to update and expand the forest preserve in Long Grove.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The Lake County Forest Preserves is adding on and updating paths in the Buffalo Creek Forest Preserve. And you can check out the local forest preserves progress through drone video footage shared on the Lake County Forest Preserves site.
The Lake County Forest Preserves has been worked to expand and improve the Buffalo Creek Forest Preserve, 8163 West Checker Road in Long Grove. As part of the work, LCDOT constructed a wetland mitigation bank by returning former farm fields to a sustainable natural condition, according to forest preserve officials.

More than 25 acres of wetlands have been created, and a new section of path was added that will be part of Buffalo Creek Forest Preserve’s path system.
