Drunken Driver Hits Tree, Flees Scene: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

  • Stacy A. Weick, 56, of the 700 block of Fairlawn Avenue, Libertyville, is accused of driving under the influene of alcohol, DUI alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration level of .08 or more, no headlights, turn signal violation, and was arrested at 2:52 a.m. Nov. 22, in the 1200 block of N. Arlington Heights Road. Weick had reportedly struck an advertisement pillar near the Shell gas station's entrance with her car. She was released and was assigned a court date of Dec. 13.
  • Andrei Uncu, 29, of the 800 block of W Happfield, Arlington Heights, is accused of DUI alcohol, resisting or obstructing a peace officer, disorderly conduct, failure to reduce speed, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident, false police report, and was arrested at 10:20 p.m. Nov. 25, in the 700 block of Corporate Grove Drive. Police responded to the area for a report of a one-car accident. A witness told police they saw a black Porsche hit a curb at a high rate of speed, then a tree, before the driver ran from the scene. Police later found the driver, identified as Uncu. He was released and assigned a court date of Dec. 13.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

Police responded at 10:26 p.m. Nov. 22, to the 1400 block of Oxford Drive for a report of a residential burglary. A complainant told police someone had entered his home between 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and stole various items.

BURGLARY

Police responded to an alarm call at 2:34 a.m Nov. 26, for a business in the 80 block of W. Dundee Road. Upon arrival, police found the glass door of the business shattered, but no one was found inside.
