Drunken Driver Resists Arrest After Driving Wrong Way Down 1-Way Street: Buffalo Grove Police Blotter

The 43-year-old was also charged with improper lane usage following his arrest last weekend, according to police.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The following information comes from the Buffalo Grove Police Department (except when noted) and court records as a record of incidents reported to police and those arrested on criminal charges, which represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

Updated information may be available from the Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless found guilty in court beyond a reasonable doubt.

DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE

  • Bryan Bielma-Garcia, 20, of the 2200 block of Lydia Avenue, Zion, is accused of driving on a suspended license, improper window tinting, and was arrested at 7:50 p.m. Jan. 9, in the 150 block of S. Buffalo Grove Road. A court date of Feb. 20 was assigned.
  • Javier Ferrufino Flores, 35, of the 700 block of Court of Birch, Vernon Hills, is accused of driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper window tinting, and was arrested at 9:38 p.m. Jan. 12, in the 1100 block of W. Lake Cook Road. A court date of Feb. 20 was assigned.

BATTERY

Nursultan Duishonbekov, 25, of the 1500 block of Deerfield Parkway, Buffalo Grove, is accused of battery, and was arrested at 10:01 p.m. Jan. 10, in the 1500 block of Deerfield Parkway. A court date of Jan. 29 was assigned.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

Guadalupe Moreno, 43, of the 1200 block of Cove Drive, Prospect Heights, is accused of aggravated driving under the influence, resisting arrest, improper lane usage, driving wrong way on a one-way street, and was arrested on Jan. 11 at Dundee and Buffalo Grove roads. A court date of Jan. 14 was assigned.

INCIDENTS

FLEEING/ELUDING A PEACE OFFICER

A black Chevrolet sedan did not stop for a traffic violation at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 8, at Buffalo Grove and Dundee roads. The car continued to drive away at a high rate of speed.

RETAIL THEFT

A business at 201 N. Milwaukee Avenue, 9 Speedway, reported at 7:36 p.m. Jan. 11, a male has been stealing merchandise on multiple occasions.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO PROPERTY

A door's lock and handle were damaged between Jan. 10 and Jan. 12 in the 840 block of Miller Lane.
