Dryer Catches Fire In Buffalo Grove Home: BGFD
The Monday afternoon fire was found coming from the dryer and spreading into the first floor laundry room.
BUFFALO GROVE, IL — A dryer caught fire spread into a laundry room Monday afternoon at a Buffalo Grove home. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Officials said Buffalo Grove firefighters were dispatched to the home in the 60 block of Park Avenue at 1:46 p.m. for a report of a dryer fire. Upon arrival, initial companies found heavy smoke coming from the house and initiated an aggressive interior attack, simultaneously stretching a hose line into the home for fire extinguishment while conducting a search for occupants.
Fire was found coming from the dryer and spreading into the first floor laundry room. The fire was quickly extinguished and no occupants were found in the house. No injuries were reported and the house remains uninhabitable due to smoke damage.
