Easter 2022: Check Out All The Egg Hunts Near Buffalo Grove

Local children will have plenty of opportunities to search for eggs over the next few weeks.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Many local kids are getting excited as the Easter Bunny will be making his way around the area with a number of egg hunts and fun holiday events planned.   • Community Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m April 9, Arlington Heights Historical Museum, 110 W. Fremont St., Arlington Heights. Children 10 and under are invited to race around the museum grounds for treat filled eggs. Following the egg hunt, families are invited to stay and explore the Museum with a scavenger hunt.   • Eggstravaganza, Park Center Preschool, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. April 9, 2400 Chestnut Ave., Glenview. Children ages 2-5 will have a hopping good time at our old-fashioned egg hunt.   • Community Easter Egg Hunt & Magic Show, noon to 2 p.m. April 10, St. Catherine Laboure School, 3425 Thornwood Ave., Glenview. Egg Hunt separated for both younger & older kids on our 16-acre school property (bring your own basket). Find out more here.
  • Night Owl Hunt, 8 p.m. to 8:05 p.m. April 12; Wednesday, April 13; and Thursday, April 14; Buffalo Grove Park District, Alcott Center, 530 Bernard Drive, Buffalo Grove. Bring your flashlights for this “eggciting” evening egg hunt. Children will search for hidden eggs in the Alcott Center front lawn; and, parents must accompany their children during the hunt. Children should bring a flashlight and basket to collect the eggs. Pre-registration is required; day of registration is not available. Find out more here.
  • Spring Egg-splosion, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 12 and April 14, at homes of Deerfield residents. The spring event will consist of 50 treat-filled eggs that will be specially delivered to your front lawn. Each household will also receive a Bunny Bag consisting of pancake mix for a family of 4, a Spring themed mold for specially shaped pancakes, and festive treats for the kids in your family.   • Hoppy Easter Egg Hunt, 10 a.m. April 15, Emerald Place, 1879 Chestnut Ave., Glenview. Local youngsters can get a hop on Easter with the help of residents at a Glenview Memory Care community. Families with children ages 10 and under are invited. Find out more here.
  • Pool Egg Hunt, 1 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. April 15, Arlington Ridge Center, 660 N. Ridge Ave., Arlington Heights. Plastic eggs are filled with surprises and float in the pool. Children get to collect the eggs and take them home. Bags are provided. Stay after the event to meet the Bunny and swim in the Family Activity Pool. Available for ages 2-8 years old.   • GNCS Easter Egg Hunt, 9 a.m. to noon April 16, Glenview New Church, 74 Park Drive, Glenview. Toddler hunt at 9 a.m. followed by traditional hunt for all kids up to age 14. Bring your own basket. Collection bags will be available if needed. Find out more here.
  • Spring Egg Scramble, 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. April 16, Wheeling High School, 900 S. Elmhurst Road, Wheeling. Head out to turf field for fun and games. Bring your camera for a photo with the bunny before the hunt for candy and toy-filled eggs. Giveaway bags for the first 500 kids only. Bring a basket to collect your eggs. Find out more here.
