Election Filing Deadline Passes: Buffalo Grove Residents Run

Two local residents submitted their intent to run by Monday's deadline, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — The primary election in Illinois is just over three months away. The deadline for candidates to file for their intent to run with the Illinois State Board of Elections was Monday. Illinois' primary election is June 28.

Locally, two Buffalo Grove residents have opted to run for reelection, and neither is facing anyone in the primary or general election.

Democratic incumbent Adriane Johnson, of Buffalo Grove, filed her intent to run on March 7. Johnson assumed office on October 11, 2020, succeeding Terry Link.

Democratic incumbent Daniel Didech, of Buffalo Grove, is also running unopposed. He filed his intent to run on March 7. Didech was elected to the office in 2018.
