Encore Named Semifinalist In Choir Competition

Encore, the ’s traveling vocal ensemble, is a semifinalist in a competition that will award $20,000 to the winning group’s designated charity.

The choir received more votes in July than any other chorus participating in Sing, a competition sponsored by Deer Park Shopping Center.

Encore and the other semifinalists will perform three songs at 3:20 p.m. Sept. 17 at Deer Park Shopping Center, 20530 N. Rand Road, Deer Park.

The program is free and open to the public.

If Encore wins the competition, the prize money will be donated to the .

To vote for Encore, text SING52 to 55800. Voting will be open for 24 hours starting at midnight Sept. 17. Up to five votes can be cast per person.
