Errors Made on 500 Buffalo Grove Water Bills

The village's printer is sending out new bills that do not have upside-down print or other issues, village officials said.

BUFFALO GROVE, IL — Village officials learned last week that its third-party printer produced some strange-looking bills for 500 residents and businesses. The error occurred on portions of water bills dated for Oct. 15 and included upside down print on the front of the bill and a formatting error on the back, according to information posted on the village's Facebook page.

These errors did not impact the amount owed by customers. The printer is now in the process of resending bills that do not contain errors, village officials said.

If payments have already been made online, at village hall or though an automatic bank draft, residents are asked to disregard the duplicate bill when it arrives. Customers who have not yet paid their bill should use the duplicate bill when mailing payments to ensure proper delivery.

Payments that have already been mailed may have delivery issues due to a formatting error of the printed remittance address, according to the village.
