Piel Morena Contemporary Dance (PMCD) is proud to present Anavi and her Doll with Green Eyes, a dance performance based on a fictional children’s book written by Mexican author Verónica González Andrews. This magical story is a metaphor representing the different stages of grief, according to Thanatology studies. The dancers portray the story through movement while a narrator carries the audience along through text, which is spoken in English. PMCD has been helping children cope with their grief and fears by using this fictional story as a tool in schools throughout the Chicagoland area. Families welcome, but the program is most appropriate for grades K-3. Registration required.
