Stevenson High School's Spirit Revolution (cheerleading and Patriettes) is holding a cheerleading and pom youth clinic for girls and boys in kindergarten through eighth grade on Saturday, August 27. The clinic will be held in the school's Fieldhouse from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The cost is $35, with all proceeds benefitting the Morton Teen Lounge at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, in honor of a Stevenson student-athlete battling leukemia. All clinic participants will perform the routines they learn during halftime of Stevenson's varsity football game on Friday, September 9. The $35 clinic fee also includes a T-shirt that kids will wear during their performance at the football game.
At the clinic, participants will be separated into age groups and taught dance and cheer skills such as jumps, turns, stunts, dance combinations and cheers. Participants need to bring their own sack lunch and water bottle, and wear appropriate athletic clothing and shoes.
To register for the clinic, click here and use the PREP code YS470. If you have questions about registration, contact Stevenson's PREP Office at 847-415-4145. For more information about the clinic, contact head cheerleading coach Erin Vance at evance@d125.org.
