This introductory conversational Chinese course introduces students to the basic pronunciation and writing system, while focusing on the daily tasks that one may encounter while going to a Chinese-speaking community. Topics include greetings, asking for and giving personal information, basic vocabulary for travelers, colors and numbers, etc. Students will also have opportunities to familiarize themselves with Chinese culture. 8 sessions.
