Stevenson High School Presents Shakespeare's "Tempest"

 
The Stevenson High School Fine Arts Division will present the 2012 winter play, "The Tempest," at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, March 16-17, in the West Auditorium. Admission is $5.

"The Tempest" is William Shakespeare’s famous play that covers themes of freedom, friendship, repentance and forgiveness. The plot revolves around Prospera, a magician stranded on a Mediterranean island, and her attempt to regain her rightful place as the Duccess of Milan.

Lizzie Docel will play the role of Prospera. Also in the cast are Corissa Goodrich, Grace Hannon-Geller, Mitch Morton, Julia Trevor, David Wood, Ishita Bhama, Nick Olson, Alex Howard, Jillian Warden, Alex Levy, Annie Keller, Joey Lubelfeld, Ari Craven, Mindy Shore, Jessica Brand, Margot Embree, Hallie Keleiman and Sara Moss.

"The Tempest" will be directed by Sonia Gecker. The set designer and technical director is Stephen Carmody, the costume designer is Aliceson Hackett-Rubel; her assistant is Marianne Johnson. The  lighting designer is Matthew Winstead, and John Louis Anton and Amanda Salter are the light board operators. Jared Granoff is responsible for sound design and sound board operations. The stage manager is Abby Bornstein. The student directors are Matt Giddens, Maddie Levin and Mikey Torres. The props master is Corey Gildenberg.

The set construction/lighting crew includes  Jason Greenwald, Amanda Salter, Corey Gildenberg, Briana Schiff, Bennett Saltzman, John Anton, and the cast.

The costume crew includes Rachel Canter, Ray Weisz, Chris Moseley, Linsey Nowack, Allison Phillips, Abby Conlon, Dana Sussman, Sydney Wyner, Ariel Blackman and Alex Knezevic.

The dressers include Rachel Canter (head dresser), Ray Weisz, Chris Moseley, Allison Phillips, Abby Conlon and Dana Sussman. The student costume designers are Rachel Canter, Ray Weisz, Chris Moseley and Allison Phillips.
