The Stevenson High School Fine Arts Division will present the 2011 Winter Dance Concert Friday through Sunday, December 2-4 in the Performing Arts Center. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, December 2-3, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 4.
The concert will feature dancing and choreography by students from the Concert Dance class and the Mélange and Repertory dance companies. Students scheduled to perform include:

Nineteen students have choreographed pieces for the concert: Meryl Rosemarin, Abby Rossiter, Yarden Zer-Zion, Eliza Woitinnek, Alexis Bauer, Allison Perlin, Dana Schafer, Kristi Leimbeck, Claire Martersteck, Jess Urbach, Dana Podell, Lizzy Goldberg, Jasmine Park, Meghan Lavelle, Laura Biernacki, Hanna Kim, Ellie Fujimoto, Kailie Wulfstat and Ali Riederman.
The concert also will feature performances by SHS students of works choreographed by professionals Nick Pupillo and Randy Duncan.
Duncan is a three-time recipient of Chicago’s prestigious Ruth Page Award for Outstanding Choreographer of the Year. He also was choreographer for the Goodman Theatre's hit play, Ruined, which won the 2009 Pulitzer Prize.
Pupillo is a former member of Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, and continues to perform in various Chicagoland performances through Dance Chicago, Dance For Life, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
Stevenson's dance faculty includes Melinda Criglar, Angela Dauphin and Tiffany Van Cleaf.
